On Friday I drove up to my parent’s cabin to help weed the garden and maybe work on a few other projects on the never shortening list of things to complete around there. Call me crazy, but I do enjoy using a hoe and working row-by-row scraping the soil clean of weeds that seem to love the growing conditions. My father and I have kind of worked out a plan when we hoe. We each work a different row, but close enough to stop every few minutes to discuss the topics of the week. See, this way the rest breaks are not wasted on rest. During one of these breaks, or maybe sometime later he told me that he found a new patch of wild roses and he was writing his weekly blog on the topic. He also suggested that I put a photo of a wild rose on my blog since his doesn’t have photos. When we finished our work we hopped in the John Deere Gator and headed out to the newly discovered roses.
My father’s blog on the roses should be published by Monday, June 28 and can be found at the address below.

I should also say these photos were taken with favorite little camera the Canon S90.
