The annual Brat Fest on Willow Island at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin ended tonight with a total of 209,376 Brats being sold. That’s a lot of brats.
I had a chance to stop by Saturday morning for a couple hours before it really got hot. I felt bad for the people working the outside grills since the temperatures were creeping into the 80′s and they didn’t have any shade to hide behind.
I will say that after a number of years, they have this festival down to a science. Volunteers from all around fight for a chance to give of their time and energy for this great charitable event.
Brats and a beer, a great way to start the Summer season.
