I have always been a fan of the smaller point-and-shoot digital cameras. They give me the ability to blend in, and not be as obvious when I shoot photos. The one downside is the smaller sensors, and the choice of shooting a raw file.
Photographers like raw files because they are considered the perfect digital negative. You have total control in post processing where exposure and color temperatures can be tweaked.
Recently I purchased the Canon S90. This small digital camera fits in my pocket and can shoot raw. They reviews also talk about better quality in the higher ISO ranges. I tend to only shoot in the low end so this isn’t that much of a factor for me.
My initial thoughts are very positive, and I would like to add a new category to my photo blog. “Snaps” will be photos taken with this camera, and will be more stand alone types. I will continue to use my high end Canon camera for bigger events.
